Beach Life on Lido di Venezia, Italy
Oh we are LOVING the beach! It is cold and winter but we still love it. James REALLY loves it. When James was a puppy, we rented a beach house for a month in St. Augustine Beach, Florida (check out the old posts from that month here and here). James would play fetch on the beach every. single. day. And now 8 years later he still starts to dance when he sees a beach. He knows that beaches mean fetch time!
Thankfully the beach in Venice is dog friendly. We try to do research on locations ...

Our Apartment in Venice, Italy
We really love our Airbnb in Venice, Italy! We are actually out on Lido di Venezia. Being Floridians, we were missing the beach and we weren't sure we wanted to be in the heart of Venice. The motoscafi (water taxis - check out our blog post on getting around Venice if you haven't seen it yet) out to Lido are easy to catch and we are really enjoying how quiet the beach is in the off-season.

The Senior Nomads Blog
I found a great story this morning on Daily Mail. It was about a couple named Debbie (she is 62) and Michael (he is 72) that sold all of their belongings except for a small storage unit of stuff and decided to travel the world. As of March 2018, they have stayed in 178 Airbnbs!
Here is the article on Daily Mail.
And here is Debbie and Michael's blog called The Senior Nomads.
They gave a talk at an Airbnb conference back in 2013 and it was fun to see some of the front doors to their Airbnbs! ...

What is Wrong with Our Cordon Bleu?!
Chris is a good sport. I am no Michelin-rated chef. But I do try to cook good food for us. I bought a bunch of things at the grocery store the other day. For dinner one night, I planned an easy meal: Ready-Made Chicken Cordon Bleu. I was going to heat it up and add some sautéed vegetables. Easy!
Everything was ready to go and we sat down to enjoy our dinner. Chris took a bite first and then I did. After my second bite I said to Chris, "This doesn't taste right. Something is wrong with ...
