We posted the other day about the Quarry Exhibit Hall at Dinosaur National Monument.
Today, we are talking about Cub Creek Road on the Utah side near the small town of Jensen. Chris wanted to see the petroglyphs and I was really surprised how close you could get to them. Back in 2010, we went to Capitol Reef National Park and saw some petroglyphs but you were not allowed to get anywhere near them.
We were able to walk right up to these petroglyphs! It was really neat!
While Chris was really enjoying the petroglyphs, I was really enjoying the wildflowers!
Cub Creek Road turns to gravel as you approach the old Josie Morris Cabin. We knew there were some good hiking trails at her cabin. There is also a nice 4×4 trail that the FJ was ready for with its nice tires but we didn’t want to take a chance – some of those trails are intense and better for RZRs!
It turns out the hiking trails in most national parks are not dog friendly. Poor James – he was booted up and ready to hike but we had to tell him no.
Look at what we spotted – an RV from Germany! We’ve seen quite a few RVs from Germany and France.
