This storm is really funny – the media is freaking everyone out. Â Schools have been closed in Orange County nearly all week and all we had was a little rain and wind. They keep talking about how bad the flooding is – but I looked up three roads where they were featured in the media as having been flooded – ALL three were in existing flood zones according to FEMA! Â Well of course they are flooded if they are in flood zones and we are getting rain. Â Then I don’t get why everyone thinks it is fun to wade, swim, paddle, whatever through the flood water. Â I saw a photo on Orlando Sentinel’s website of a woman walking her very young child through the flooded water. Â People complain about the amoebas in local lakes – but hey lets go walk in the flood water – since you know all of the septic tanks below us are well sealed and all….ick!
