We’ve met so many people in our travels that tell us that Glacier National Park is their favorite US National Park. We finally got to see it this year – just before winter! I found that I really wasn’t taking a lot of photos or video – I was just soaking up the beauty of the park. We were staying on the west side of the park near Kalispell and it is easy to drive through the park across to St. Mary. The drive takes several hours because you will want to stop at many of the pull-over spots. There are quite a few hiking trails throughout Glacier National Park – but we are here to tell you that those parking lots fill up FAST! We went to the park one morning at sunrise and many of the trailhead lots were already full! I wish I had taken more photos – the lakes are a beautiful shade of green and the water is crystal clear. There is a rapid that runs along much of the east side of the park’s road and there are so many waterfalls. It was rainy while we were in Montana and at times we were above the clouds in the park. Here are a few photos I did take:
Outside of the park in nearby Eureka, Montana, James was going NUTS over the rabbits that were everywhere. He was freaking out so much we had to pull out his harness and put it on him to keep him from hurting himself while pulling like a madman. He is a rabbit fanatic! He is very focused on a rabbit here:
