I’ve never been a huge fan of the cheap disposable/reusable food storage containers. The original Ziploc containers were okay – but they just seemed flimsy and cheap. It seemed like my food was going to leak out if the container tipped over and it also seemed like if I dropped the container or accidentally crushed it in the back of the fridge, it would be a huge mess. I love my Pyrex glass food storage and I also have some classic Tupperware that I love.
With James being sick, we’ve been making a lot of food for him recently. We cook chicken and rice and veggies. I could easily make extra and put it into one of my Tupperware or Pyrex containers. But I decided to look at Walmart and see what they had for food storage. Back when we fed James raw, we had a nice container that was used only for his raw food. I wanted something like this – something where we knew it was J’s food.
I happened to see these Ziploc Twist N Loc containers at Walmart. They are so much nicer than the original Ziploc containers! They seem thicker and sturdier and they also have a screw top so the food stays secure. I ended up buying a set of the small and the medium containers and I really like them!
