I just realized I forgot to post our video of the DuPont Circle Farmer’s Market! We usually go every Sunday in the warmer months. It is an easy walk from Georgetown – it takes about 15-20 minutes. The market has lots of fresh greens and I always like to try new things I have never seen. Then I go home and look up how to cook them! My favorite find this summer was Tatsoi. I used it fresh – I cut it up and mixed in with salad greens. And I also stir-fried it. Another favorite item that is new this year is the nitro cold brew coffee! When we first moved to DC we couldn’t figure out why the DuPont market didn’t have any coffee. You had to walk to Firehook Bakery for your coffee. It was because the market requires vendors to be local within a certain distance. Coffee isn’t exactly grown in the DC area. But this year they decided that if the coffee was roasted in the DC area it could be considered local and sold at the market. We love the nitro cold brew coffee! We drink it black with no ice, no cream and no sweetener. It is delicious!
