Royal Caribbean has a private island in the Bahamas called Coco Cay. It is called the Perfect Day and we really did have a perfect day there! The Mariner of the Seas pulled right up to the pier – it was nice not having to wait in line for a tender to take us to the island.
We picked the quiet beach and found a few empty chairs right on the water. I took a little nap when we first arrived!
Kirk and Patty joined us after a little while, too. Ben, Jenny, Sam, Beau and Wilson all went to the water park.
After a lot of relaxing, we snorkeled and saw a Barracuda (I screamed when I first saw it!), parrot fish, stingrays and lots of other beautiful and colorful fish.
We grabbed some lunch on the island – the buffet is included – and it was so good! The fruit was my favorite part – the mangoes and papaya were perfectly ripe!
We moved over to the pool and the lining of the pool was so soft – like a vinyl pool! But I’m not sure that is what it was. It wasn’t like a normal Marcite pool lining that hurts your feet and tears up your bathing suits! And the pool had music underwater!
A storm was rolling in, so we headed back to the ship for a nap. Vacations are all about napping! There was another ship nearby at its own private island – it looked like a Norwegian Cruise Line ship.

We got cleaned up for dinner:
Our waiters Francis and Dita surprised Kirk and Patty with a cheesecake slice and they sang Happy Anniversary to them:
