Chris’ parents Kirk and Patty are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year. They decided they wanted to take all of us on a cruise to celebrate!
We decorated Kirk and Patty’s door. This was their first cruise and we were really excited for them! If you have been on a cruise, you know finding your room and your door is sometimes confusing but if you have decorations, you seem to find it faster!
Cell phones don’t work on cruises unless you pay for the internet plan. A lot of people use walkie talkies and others use dry erase boards to let their family and friends know where they are or if they are taking a nap. We made a sign and had it laminated so it could be used as our dry erase message board:
I also found a cute graphic on Etsy for remembering the year 1969:
We all had balcony rooms along the same hallway. I could soak up this view forever:
Look at how the colors are stripes in the sky later in the evening – it looked fake!
The bank of elevators closest to our room had this German art called “Kleine Kuh für Matisse” by Volker Kuhn. Whenever we were heading to our room we would say, “Wo ist meine kleine Kuh?”
