We made it back to the trail head after a few hours of hiking. The trip down was much easier than the trip up the trail but we would have loved to stay in the mountains for longer if we could.
We were saying good bye to the Missouri Gulch trail and the National Forrest. We had a great few days above the tree line, plenty of excitement and amazing views. This trail will go on our “Must Visit Again” list for sure.
So one last photo before we head out. Thanks to the fence post that was kind enough to hold the camera for us!
And back on the road. We will be dropping Ernie off at a friend’s house where he is joining their group for another week in the back country. We are dropping Warren off at the airport in the morning for his flight home, then we are headed up to Winter Park, CO for the rest of our trip.
