We decided to spend some time at our campsite and picked out our gourmet dinner in a bag. The meals were actually pretty good but for some reason we just were not that hungry, maybe it was the altitude but we were not eating as much as we expected to.
And that’s when we noticed the fog rolling in…
So we headed into the larger tent to play cards.
I can’t say how long we played but it was long enough for my legs to fall asleep so I headed out for a walk to get the feeling back in my feet. And then I felt completely disoriented because the fog was so think that we couldn’t see past our camp site.
It was so think that it was even tough to get your balance on the uneven ground because you could not see a horizon line. This was really cool! It was like being in a fun house, everything seemed off balance and there was no way you could walk too far from the camp site without getting lost. This was the perfect time for a goofy self portrait of all of us!
And just as quick as it came, the fog began to roll out.
Leaving us with an incredible view for our second night on the mountain.
