I started back on my work while Sandra and Warren walked the dogs and went to McDonald’s to get breakfast. This was supposed to be a slow week but the jobs just kept coming! I guess I can’t complain, busy is always better! Especially if you can get your work done fast and on the road! My thanks to Tim Ferris and the Four Hour Work Week for showing me how.
We loaded the car back up and headed to a FedEx so I could send out the work I had completed. Then it was off to Trader Joe’s which is a fun stop, especially if you don’t have one near you. We picked up a bag of dog food and a One Pound Chocolate Bar… you know, the essentials!
We also passed Wrigley Field on our little driving tour of Chicago.
Our next stop as you probably guessed was Whole Foods where we picked up a few slices of pizza and headed to Lincoln Park to eat lunch on the shore of Lake Michigan.
The weather was great, we haven’t been rained on in over a week. There were sailboats all along the lakeshore and joggers everywhere. It was a relaxing lunch before a long drive to Ohio.
As we headed back to the car we went to give the dogs some water but their bowls were nowhere to be found. We had left the bowls at Karen & Ernie’s house which was now 20 minutes away and they were still at the lake up in Wisconsin until later tonight. We had to go back.
The dogs bowls were right in the center of the kitchen floor where we had fed them breakfast. None of us had seen them on our way out but at least we didn’t loose them forever.
The only stop we didn’t make in Chicago was to the camera shop. We’ve been looking for some new lenses but for some reason all of the are on back order and have been for a while. (Come on Nikon, start pushing those lenses out the door!) The camera shop was downtown so before making the drive we called to see if they had what we needed and just like everywhere else, they were out of stock. So we got on the road, it was a long drive and we were probably going to arrive around 10:30 pm.
