After breakfast (2nd breakfast) we sat around and talked while Sandra read her Aunt Karen’s Memoirs and old photos were passed around. Then it came time for us to go, we were on our way to Chicago to stay in Uncle Ernie and Aunt Karen’s house for the night. We hit the road, this time taking the interstate because we spent our free time talking, saying goodbye and taking some last minute group photos.
Down the road we needed a break and stopped at Noodles in Wausau, Wisconsin for lunch. We were looking for a healthy option because we hadn’t been eating very well for the past few days. It was a pretty simple menu, choose your noodles, add a meat or tofu and get a drink. It was a good break and got us recharged and ready to go again.
We made two more stops along the way, once for gas and once in Rockford, Illinois to pick up a Wi-Fi spot at Panara Bread so we could send some email. Then Sandra started searching for a fun restaurant in Chicago so we could punch it into the Tom Tom now. She chose Cousins (www.cousinsiv.com) in Irving Park which was a Raw restaurant, Warren was in for a new experience!
We tried some really unique dishes at Cousins. It was really good and we couldn’t finish all of it even though we tried. Our favorite was the mango tacos, they were outstanding! (The first photo)
