On the way back we cut through a neighborhood, there was a squirrel (one of the black ones) sitting on his hind legs watching Duke and Goblin drag us closer. He didn’t move, this was one of those squirrel dares that they put each other up to, and this was a big squirrel, about twice the size of our gray squirrels back home.
He was good at this chicken thing too, he hopped once which proved he was not a statue and that really got Duke and Goblin going. They were only feet apart when the squirrel lost his bet and took off up a tree. Then it was us dragging Duke and Goblin down the sidewalk because they wanted to wait for him to come back down again. Squirrels can be mean, all Duke and Goblin want to do is play with him.
We finally made it back to the hotel and asked the concierge about restaurants and other things to see and do with the dogs in Toronto. We now had an agenda that included a stop at the beaches where we were going to see a local dog bakery!
We made sure to get our FedEx number so we could have the hotel send it for us on our way out. We also left a Toonie tip for the maid so she would add some ice to our beer bucket. We still had our three beers and it would be nice to keep them cold incase we wanted them when we got back.
Our first stop however was Lululemon. Sandra had seen a bag in there yesterday and wanted to take another look. We pulled up only to find that they opened at Noon because of the holiday. We had 20 minutes to kill.
