I loaded the car and pulled up to the hotel to get Sandra and the dogs and the last load of stuff at 11:30. The valet guy gave a funny look to my roof bag I could tell he was wondering how to fit this beast of a vehicle into their garage.
I rolled down the window and let him know I was just pulling up to checkout. He seemed relieved. I had made it under the 8′ entrance to the hotel door with no problem so maybe I wasn’t as tall as I thought.
I left the car at the door and headed upstairs just as Sandra was ready to go. She had taught Duke to look out of the window of the room while I was gone. He was fascinated!
All of the cars and people 14 stories below him and he couldn’t take his eyes off of them. He didn’t even bother to turn around when I knocked on the door because I left my room key in the car! This view of the world had totally blown his mind!
We loaded up our stuff and headed back down the elevator one last time before loading up the car and driving up to the shopping about to blocks away. Sandra had spotted a Lululemon on our walk earlier and wanted to see if they had any of their fall stuff in yet. I went to go pay the parking meter, and brought $0.75 CAD with me. At $1.00 per 20 min. I didn’t give her much time to shop and it took me almost the entire 15 min. to find a radio station in English. Our parking expired at 12:08 and just as the clock hit 12:09 Sandra came back empty handed. They had some new stuff in but she didn’t have enough time to try it on so she decided to wait until we got to Toronto where she would have more time.
