Finally it was dry, and light enough to reorganize the car. Which we did quickly before starting a dinner of black beans and yellow rice. We also were finally able to start a fire with our left over wood and some lighter sticks that we picked up from a local grocery store. This fire was blazing hot and was almost too hot to stand next to.
After dinner we walked the dogs, we wanted to go to bed early because we needed to be on the road by 5:00 am to make the 8:00 am appointment in Augusta to get the windshield replaced. Not to mention that I still needed to get Windoze installed and headed to the bath house to plug in and restart my install.
We had met a couple from Boston on an earlier walk with the dogs, they had a dog on their camping trip too! They were great to talk to, aparently they guy worked at Harvard which we had just visited and his girlfriend was from North Carolina and had lived in South Florida a few years ago. When you travel it truely is a small world!
So as I was working on my Windoze install the same guy walked in to the bathroom and said, “Wow! You really are working.” Yeah, hopefully this solves my problems and I can finish up all this work before my windshield is replaced in the morning.
The Windoze install took about an hour and a half. I truely don’t know how I ever put up with Windows before. If you are a “PC” I really urge you to try to be a “Mac” for 1 week. I promise you will never look back.
After the install I cae back to a quiet campsite. Sandra and the pups were sleeping, only their water bowl was outside, and the remnants of a really great fire. So I guess it’s off to bed for me. I’m setting my alarm for 4:00 am, lets hope this isn’t the beginning of a new trend!
