Along the way we found a store and stopped to get a soda. That’s when we checked the GPS and realized we had taken a wrong turn and were actually going the wrong way. No big deal, instead we headed for Hyannis Port where the ferries for Martha’s Vineyard depart. It was too late to make that trip but we had a great time exploring the area including a Wikipedia explanation of everything Martha’s Vineyard, before heading back to our campground where we promptly got to bed.
No chance we are checking the weather tonight, at this point we already expect rain and don’t care either way. We’ve noticed so many people up here in the Northeast jogging and doing yard work in the rain, it’s almost as if the rain doesn’t exist! So maybe we just have to learn to deal with it too.
As a side note, it’s unbelievable how many Dunkin’ Doughnuts stores there are in Massachusetts. Dunkin’ Doughnuts was founded in this state and they made sure to put a shop on every corner to remind you. Maybe that’s why everyone is running in the rain… all of those doughnuts aren’t going to burn themselves off!
