One of our trips in Vancouver was to the Granville Island Public Market. If you are ever in Vancouver, you have to go! I’ve never seen a farmer’s market like this!
We were trekking all over the city that day and one stop was to see Canada Place since our ship was going out of Ballantyne (btw, try to sail out of Canada Place – it is a much nicer area and tourist friendly. One area near Ballantyne was a bit rough!). Here we are at Canada Place with the pretty white sails behind us (self portrait so not the best way to see it but it works!)
Then we headed over to Granville Island. It was very easy – you just take the AquaBus from the West End and it was $5. The view to the West End which seems all residential to me:
Just inside, lots of gluten-full goodies! A girl can dream, right?
But then a few steps past the gluten was all kinds of delicious fruit! Look at these blackberries:
And cherries:
And the flowers were amazing!
More fruits were around the corner:
Check these out – they are called Mangosteen. I had to buy them since I had never seen them before. They were like a cross between coconut and lychee.
And check out these – they are called Rambutan and they were just like lychees:

A view towards where our condo was (although you can’t quite see it):
A self portrait as we leave on the AquaBus:
