Since we were in St. Simon’s Island, we decided to head up the road to Savannah for a few days. We were there years ago for a shoot and we had a bad experience (we now book our own hotel when shooting out of town events) so we wanted to see it again. We picked a cute bed and breakfast called The Hamilton-Turner Inn and we were in the Juliette Gordon Low room. We didn’t remember who she was – but we quickly learned. You see her name everywhere in Savannah!

Did you know that the beginning of Forrest Gump was filmed in Savannah? The feather drifts into Madison Square and then Chippawa square and lands by Forrest at the bus stop. Here is Chris doing his Forrest gump pose:
We also did a horse drawn carriage tour. Here’s a tip – we wanted to do a private tour to be alone, but we didn’t want to pay that much. We got up early and headed over to the stand at the Hyatt and since no one else was there yet, we got a private tour for the group price. A self portrait during the ride:
