My totally perfect Infiniti FX had a few recent imperfections thanks to rocks. Chris got hit by a big one on the 408 while driving to a wedding. A big truck was in front of us and it was a big rock! I was surprised the damage was not that bad. But then the next weekend on the way to another wedding a BMW threw a few little rocks at us – and two more chips happened.
Since the patch work was bad, I had the whole windsheild replaced. Sounds easy – but my Lane Departure Warning system made it a bit difficult – the glass had to be ordered from Infiniti. So a few weeks went by and it finally arrived. It was fun and sad to watch. But my car looks fabulous again!
At least my windsheild didn’t look like this one that was in the van. I am guessing the driver hit someone? Yikes!
Those are not love bugs. They are chips! I warned Chris – back off. He is getting too close to big trucks and I don’t like it! Maybe I should drive? Chris does joke about how it is my car yet he always drives it. Deep down he loves it more than I do!
Out with the old:
A new type of convertable? Nah, not with the love bug problem in Florida! Oh – a tip we learned since we have been covering the state of Florida lately. Love Bugs are not out at dawn or dusk. And of course night time. Avoid driving during the day! Oh and another tip – Spraying Pam on the front of the car doesn’t really work. I think it made a bigger mess in the end and I kept washing the car but the Pam would not come off. And it streaked all down the sides of the car. Not so pretty.
