Travel and Leisure just came out with a list of America’s Best All-Inclusive Resorts and I was really excited to read about it. Usually all-inclusive resorts are in Mexico or an island in the Caribbean. But the ones listed in this article are all here in the US and there are a few I can’t wait to visit. I’ve never been to an all-inclusive resort (well I guess I have if you count a cruise ship) and I like the idea of just showing up for dinner or events and not having to sign up in advance and/or pay a bill at the end of the event.
Here are the ones on the list I can’t wait to visit:
The Grand Hotel at Mackinac Island
We were on a road trip a few summers ago through the UP (Upper Peninsula) of Michigan and I really wanted to see Mackinac Island. We had our dogs with us and from what I read it really wasn’t a dog friendly island. So one day I want to go back and stay at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Just mention afternoon tea, croquet and bocci ball and I can’t wait to be there!
Travaasa Austin
A favorite city of mine is Austin, TX and when I saw Travaasa I had to look at the website and see what it was. The rooms are so nice and they have a spa as well as a Mechanical Bull Riding Workout (so cool!), Yoga, Journaling, Juicing Classes and more!
Little St. Simon’s Island
I love the St. Simon’s Island area – everyone has the perfect southern charm and they are so relaxed. Probably because they have some great resorts in the area that take good care of you! I hadn’t heard of the Little St. Simon’s Island Lodge but I love the looks of it from the website. I went to Cumberland Island years ago when I was growing up and I loved being on an island away from it all. We do a lot of weddings in the St. Simon’s area, too – this would be a great destination wedding location!
Club Med Sandpiper Bay
A Club Med in the US? In Florida? Who knew?! I didn’t! Check out Sandpiper Bay near Port St. Lucie, Florida.
