I haven’t posted a soap box article in a while – so here you go!
This is from a group called Hallelujah Acres and a newsletter I get from them. I took excerpts that I liked, but you can read the whole article here.
National Health Care – Dangerous to Pocketbook and Health
Thomas Edison (1847-1931) wrote: “The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.â€
THE TRUTH ABOUT HEALTH CARE POLITICIANS WON’T DARE ADMIT
The following is taken from an article by Mike Adams dated February 7, 2008. //www.naturalnews.com/z022612.html. Excerpts from that article follow:
“Want to know the real truth about health care in this nation?
1. “Health care spending will bankrupt this nation. 84% of the U.S. Government’s budget is now spent on three things: Disease, debt and war. The national debt is now over $9 TRILLION. The U.S. dollar is losing value. This nation will not survive its own crushing debt. Expect hyperinflation of an increasingly worthless currency.
2. “No elected president will propose a health care system that actually makes people healthy. There is simply no profit to be found in teaching the public how to avoid disease. Eliminating disease and the sick care industry would put millions out of work and implode the economy.
3. “All this talk about ‘who pays’ for health care is a joke. Unless you start talking about ways to keep people healthy and ban the advertising of pharmaceuticals, junk foods and sodas, we will remain stuck in a system of disease management where nobody wins!
4. “The Fall of Western Medicine is fast approaching. When the United States collapses under a worthless dollar and a desperate hyperinflation bailout attempt, much of what the U.S. espouses will also be shunned by nations around the world, including its deadly system of pharmaceutical-based medicine. The collapse of the U.S. money supply will inevitably result in the collapse of Big Pharma’s profitability, since it is nothing more than debt spending that currently supports Big Pharma’s monopoly prices for pharmaceuticals.â€
CURRENT “HEALTH CARE†COSTS IN U.S. IS $2.4 TRILLION ANNUALLY
What will no doubt come as a shock and surprise to many reading this, is that it is not the cost of the war we are currently waging against Militant Islam for national security purposes that is bankrupting our nation, but rather it is the cost of so-called Health Care! The entire cost of the Iraq/Afghan War during the past 6 years is approximately $600 BILLION.
While Health Care costs for this same 6 year period is a staggering $11 TRILLION. These figures reveal that the entire current debt of the United States of $9 TRILLION is LESS than what has been the cost of Health Care alone in America for the past 6 years. And when you factor in the interest being paid on our nation’s current debt, it adds a BILLION dollars a day to our nation’s debt.
NATIONAL “HEALTH CARE†HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH “HEALTHâ€!
Webster’s Dictionary defines “health†as “soundness of body or mind; freedom from disease or ailment . . .â€
Health Care is the most expensive financial issue of our day, yet the very word “Health Care†is a misnomer, because in reality, current “Health Care†policies have absolutely nothing to do with “Health Care,†but rather “Disease Care.â€
“Disease Care†can never create “healthâ€, because disease care only deals with the symptoms of disease after symptoms have manifested. If we desire true health, we must stop dealing with symptoms and start dealing with causes. And might I reiterate, neither Health Insurance nor National Health Care have anything to do with “health.â€
Almost every physical problem a person experiences during their entire lifetime, other than accidents, has a diet related cause! Everything we place into our mouth as a food or drink has a positive or negative effect upon our health.
Sickness is almost always the result of sowing and reaping! Sadly, in our society, we have been programmed to seek relief of the symptom rather than seeking the cause of the sickness. Because of this programming, rather than seeking and removing the cause, we turn to the Medical Community or to God for help, asking God or the doctor to fix what we were responsible for causing.
Today there is but one government approved means a person can pursue when dealing with a physical problem, and that is the route of drugs, radiation, and surgery. This industry has great political and monetary power, and is controlled by the American Medical Association (AMA), a powerful union of doctors, and the multi-billion dollar Drug Cartel. This “Disease Care†industry has a monopoly on “Health Careâ€, and Federal and State laws protect this monopoly from any competition or reform.
HOW MANY HAVE BEEN HEALED BY THE WORLD’S HEALTH CARE SYSTEM?
No one has ever been healed of anything by going the medical route! Can you show me one diabetic that has seen their diabetic condition go away as a result of going to a doctor and doing what he/she said? Or rather has the doctor told them that they will have to be on insulin the rest of their life, while their health continues to decline?
If a person has been diagnosed with arthritis or multiple sclerosis, has the doctor been able to successfully remove that debilitating and painful condition? Or rather has the doctor told them that their condition would continue to deteriorate regardless of the best efforts of the doctor and no matter how many even new and more powerful drugs they prescribe?
How many who suffer with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or high triglycerides have seen the condition go away under a doctor’s care? Or rather are they told by their doctor that they will have to take drugs for the rest of their lives? I could go on, but I believe you are beginning to understand where I am going with this.
Doctors and their drugs not only do not heal anyone of anything, but they are incapable of doing so. Rather, doctors and their drugs keep a person as a repeat and paying customer for a lifetime by maintaining symptoms while never healing the problem. If doctor’s healed the person of their physical problems, that person would cease to be a customer and that would not only be unprofitable to the doctor, but also the drug companies, and all the others engaged in the “Health Care†industry.
Why do not doctors seek the cause of physical problems? I believe the primary reason is that they have not been trained to seek causes, but rather they have been trained to only deal with symptoms. I believe most doctors want their patients to get well, but they have not been taught how they can accomplish that.
As a result of not being trained to seek the cause of a physical problem, rarely does a doctor ever look in that direction for healing. But does not seeking the cause of a physical problem make common sense? If the cause can be ascertained, then all that should be necessary to eliminate the physical problem is the elimination of the cause. But that simple solution would eliminate the need for the physician, drugs, hospitals, Health Insurance, and NATIONAL HEALTH CARE.
