I know I probably shouldn’t say this kind of thing about someone, but Sandra is in her office right now talking to a bride’s Mom about photography, and I over hear Sandra answering the question, “What happens if you die before the wedding?”
Yea, she actually asked that… As if it happens all the time that a photographer is killed just before a wedding and the wedding is forever ruined.
I think it says a lot about a person that they would even think that this is a logical question to ask, after all what happens if YOU die before the wedding and I can’t rebook the date? How ridiculous should an interview get? You want me to name the backup shooter in the contract, then you need to pay for them to be on call because that means they have to be available that day. It just goes on and on…
But I would love to hear from you guys about what the perfect answer would be. Should you just tell someone like this to hire someone else, or is there a better answer?
