Have you ever dialed a phone number just to get a few rings and the computer telling you that you do not need to dial the area code for the number? Or that you don’t need to dial ‘1’ before the number? How about that the number has changed in some way?
So if the phone company is so smart, why don’t they have the message, then forward you to the correct number? How hard could that possibly be? If I dial a number and it requires me to add a ‘1’ for long distance, just add the ‘1’ and connect my call. I would appreciate the help in saving me the time to redial the entire ‘1’+ 10 digits. Especially since we are in an area where every number you dial requires an area code but only some of those are long distance and require the ‘1’ and that depends on where you are actually calling from.
Come on, it’s a simple computer setting, Google can guess what I’m searching for, can’t the phone company guess who I’m trying to dial?
