Today was the Marcus and Joe seminar. It was so inspiring. I’ve heard Joe speak a few times before and I think he is great. I love his calm, cool wedding approach. I tend to get a bit high strung at weddings when the stress gets high. If only I could just be calm and cool! Marcus was great, too. I’ve only heard him speak in large rooms with over 500 people. I just couldn’t hear since he is so soft spoken (and he was on a mic). But today was different. He does great a great job and he really has a good plan for upselling clients in a non used car salesman way.
The great part about seminars is running into other photogs. We saw John Payton from Tampa, then we saw Curt and Stephanie. Then our neighbor Pat Tinkely came! Then Susan Michal and Dan Harris from Jax came.
Later we went to the DWF’s GTG at the Crab Shack. We met Stephanie from Bella – she is going to be our tour guide when we go to Napa. She lives in San Fran and she loves wine! She said she knows all of the good not-so-well-known wineries and she will give us a tour anytime! We also ran into Krystal and Matt (funny – I went to high school with Matt and I was just cleaning out old photos and I found one of him from my yearbook stack – it was a quiz bowl photo!) And since the new car bug is going around, Matt and Krystal just got a new Honda Pilot! It is a gorgeous red color – like the red Accord I used to have. And it has this dark tan interior. It smells like a new car.
And before I head in for the night to dream about all I learned today, a photo of Joe and Marcus courtesy of the DWF:
