It seems like it has been a long and cold winter. But the days are sunny and the temperatures aren’t quite so cold here in Geneva (we still have our radiators on though). I was excited to see signs of Spring in the park: crocuses and daffodils!
We planted a bunch of bulbs in our planter out front when we lived in Georgetown. Hundreds of bulbs! Tulips, Crocuses and Daffodils. Within a few days of planting the bulbs, the neighborhood squirrels started digging them up and eating them! I would run out to chase them off, but within minutes they were back. I started opening the windows and throwing things at them! The tourists wandering Georgetown must have thought I was nuts. But I will say quite a few bulbs survived and our old neighbor still sends me photos of them popping up each Spring.
