I met Caroline in 2003 when I worked with her for the Storm. She had such a sweet southern accent and she always knew exactly what she wanted when we worked together. Over the past four years I really looked forward to working with her. We would talk on the phone about work and then we never could seem to get off the phone – talking about Las Vegas and what hotels where “in” at the time and what it would be like to move (her husband Nyle was looking at other teams) to another city. She was so perfect – always dressed so cute and her hair so perfect. Caroline and Nyle were expecting their first baby this month and the baby was born on Tuesday. But Caroline had excessive bleeding and she died Wednesday morning.
I just can’t belive it. I sat all last night thinking maybe they were wrong. Maybe she is okay. I thought maybe when the newspaper articles came out it would hit me. But I read three of them this morning and I still don’t believe them. They have to be wrong.
My eyes hurt so bad from crying. We were just talking about Caroline the other night on our walk – and how we would see her this summer. We are going to miss her.
Here is the article from the Tampa Tribune
The photo above is a photo I have of Caroline – one of the few from the front since she is usually styling the girls getting them ready for their photo! She was being recognized at a USF game.
And the headshot I did for Caroline a few years ago at halftime under the stadium:
We miss you Caroline!
