We were recently at a vet in Cochrane, Alberta near Calgary getting bloodwork for James. I noticed they sold a LumaSoothe light therapy device. When we were in Ratzeburg, Germany earlier this year, the AMAZING Simone Jahns worked on James using light therapy and chiropractic. I didn’t even realize I could buy a light therapy device like Simone used on James. When Simone started massaging James and using her light therapy device, James collapsed into relaxation.
I am not one for impulse buys, so I didn’t buy the LumaSoothe right away. But after a week or so of thinking about it, I decided to order it on Amazon.
The device has two light heads – one for skin therapy and one for deep therapy. James needs the skin therapy with all of the hair he has lost on prednisone. And he has a few spots where he had ingrown hairs that the vet didn’t want to mess with since James has been really sick. So those got pretty bad and James has a few pitiful looking scars on his body where people always ask if he has a hot spot. No, just unhealed ingrown Poodle hairs!

The other light head is for deep therapy so you can use it for muscles and arthritis.
I know the device is only approved for pet use, but I honestly think I will be trying it. I’m sure they can’t say it is for human use because the FDA or some other government office hasn’t approved it yet.

So far, James really likes it. He doesn’t quite collapse into relaxation like he did for Simone (she has the magic touch and is worth a flight to Ratzeburg alone!) but it seems to be helping.
