I love that my Apple watch has the weather on the face. I can quickly glance and see the current temperature, as well as the high and the low for the day. I’ve been traveling a lot lately and for some reason my watch can’t seem to figure out what weather to show me.
This morning I glanced at my watch to see the weather and I got a fright – it showed that the low is going to be 8° tonight! What?!?! I have no idea where my watch is showing me weather. It doesn’t have a city like it usually does. It just says “Weather.” Hmmm. I kind of want to know where this “snow showers” and 8° low is and I am REALLY glad I am not there right now.
I was in Paris not long ago, and for a week after I got home, my watch was still showing me the Paris weather!
The other items on my customized Apple watch face are a different time zone which is especially handy when I am 8 hours away from Chris in France and I want to make sure I call him or text him during waking hours. It is also handy for when we are on the West Coast – I sometimes get discombobulated and think it is 3 hours behind on the East Coast and I have almost called my family at 8pm Pacific Time thinking it was only 5pm East Coast time. I don’t know why I get that backwards sometimes, but I do!
Another fun photographer reference is the sunrise and sunset time. During the day, my Apple watch shows me the time of sunset. And during the night, it shows me the time of sunrise. As you can see above, the Apple watch is discombobulated because I was on the East Coast when it kept showing me the Paris weather and obviously the sun doesn’t rise at 2:12am – it rises at 8:12am. So it was all messed up, too!
I also have the date and the day of the week on my watch face.
And I have a timer which I use often for the perfect soft boiled eggs. On my gas stove, 7 1/2 minutes make a perfect soft boiled egg! So my timer tends to be on that time often but it changes when I cook other items.
