Yesterday I posted about the 90s and brown lipstick so today I thought it was funny that my post about nail polish has a very 90s brown!
I’ve been looking forward to seeing the OPI Washington DC Nail Lacquer Collection. I had a feeling it would be a lot of deep dark reds and other classic nail colors. The collection is definitely dark (for the most part) and there are a few odd colors in there. I was also looking forward to seeing what they named the colors. Nail polish names are usually cute and witty.
My favorite color (being in a 90s brown mood lately) is the “Inside the Isabelletway” and I do like the witty name. The beltway is I-495. And most people that say they live in DC live inside the beltway. Even though that loop encompasses much of Virginia and Maryland.
There is also a yellow shade from OPI in the Washington, DC collection. But I am not big on yellow nail polish with my skin tone. It does have a cute name though – it is “Never a Dulles Moment” – named after DC’s huge international airport located way out in Virginia. That is the airport you use when you are flying overseas but there are some domestic flights that land there, too.
