I was waiting until January 5th to shop in the mall again – I can’t handle the Christmas crowds. So yesterday I headed over to the mall. I didn’t have anything in mind to buy – I just enjoy walking around and seeing what the stores have sometimes.
Look at how dead the mall was (imagine this scene only a week ago – much different!):
My first stop was Bath and Body Works. This store is hit or miss with me – the store in the Millenia Mall is by far the best one. They have lots of brands that the other B&BW stores don’t have. They had a bunch of 75% off tables so I checked those out. I found this fun Margarita body wash for $5. It smells just like a Margarita – I can’t wait to use it!
Then I found this Twisted Peppermint Body lotion for $2.75. I love all things Peppermint and I’ll bet this will feel great on a hot day since peppermint tends to have a cooling feeling.
Then in the same scent – Twisted Peppermint – they had one of those waterless hand wash foams for $1.
My next stop was Crate and Barrel. I’ve been looking for a nice salt and pepper grinder set that wasn’t too big. We don’t use a lot of salt and pepper, but Whole Foods has this fun section of whole salts that I’ve always wanted to get a tiny bag of and try. Once we use up this bit in here, I will!
My final stop was Victoria’s Secret. This store was a zoo. All I wanted was some blue mascara and it was a nightmare trying to get through there. I don’t really like the organization of Victoria’s Secret sales. There are bins everywhere but nothing is in the right place. And when you do find your size, the item looks used since it has been handled roughly for weeks in these bins. But I did manage to find the bin with the Beauty Rush blue mascara:
I headed over to the bra bins and couldn’t find anything worth buying. It was a mess. But in the back they had the regular bra section and an updated version of my all time favorite bra. I LOVE the Victoria’s Secret Ipex wireless bra. I was on a girls cruise a few years ago and everyone was talking about these. I decided to try one out and I too was sold. I own several of these. They are so comfy you forget you are wearing them (unlike other bras) and they look great under t-shirts. You can also fall asleep in them and you don’t wake up being stabbed by a wire. Then the updated version is a push up and I tried it on yesterday. Nice! I bought one and I will see if it is as good or better than the original:
