I worked with Alek Wek when I was in NYC. She is so pretty and I love to see her in ads and articles today when I read my Vogue.
I was reading the August Vogue and there is an article about Alek and her life. It is really amazing to read how she grew up in Sudan and left for England when she was 14. She was out with a friend one afternoon when a woman approached her about modeling and gave her a card. She was 18 and little did she know how big she would become!
Alek has an autobiography that will be out this fall. I can’t wait to read it!
