The Tidal Basin is the most well known area of DC for visiting the cherry blossoms, but I like to visit cherry blossom areas that aren’t as popular (or as crowded!). In our neighborhood in Georgetown, we have a few local parks with a few beautiful cherry blossom trees. But I always like driving through the Kenwood neighborhood up in Maryland. The entire neighborhood is full of cherry trees! And they have a lot of park space throughout the neighborhood. My friend Jen and I decided to soak up the pretty weather and head up to Kenwood for a picnic. Jen’s daughter Lily joined us and of course James the Poodle and Oliver the Schnoodle came along, too.
