I can’t believe it has been a month since I made our face masks. When I was making them, I honestly just wanted a Saturday afternoon craft project. I don’t have my sewing machine or fabric collection here in Atlanta, but I do have a tiny travel sewing machine and some leftover fabric from some bandanas I made for James last fall.
I was hoping this Coronavirus Covid-19 would be slowing down by now. But sadly it isn’t. And with masks nowhere to be found, I’m glad I could make two for us. I keep my mask in my purse for when I go to the grocery store. That is the only place I go nowadays.
This little travel sewing machine is frustrating at times, but I am glad I have it! I’ve used it to make bandanas for James – my favorite sewing project.
I’m looking forward to getting back to traveling. We were supposed to be moved out of Atlanta by now but having a safe place within walking distance to the grocery store has been great! We went to Costco yesterday and I said to Chris we should get gas since we were there. He said “Sandra, we are still on full!” We haven’t been driving at all and that is just sad. But everything is closed so there isn’t really anywhere to go or anything to do. I just hope everyone gets well soon and we can put all of this behind us – masks and all!
