After such a big day of eating dairy at Tillamook, we decided a short hike would be good for all of us. We headed over to the Cape Meares Light. It was built in 1890 and you approach the light from a long pathway that slopes downward towards the light.

It is a small lighthouse – and not actually a house. That is why they call it a light.

We walked past the light and up another path along the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean. It was so beautiful!

It was amazing to me to see Christmas Trees along the coast – that isn’t something we would ever see in Florida!
