Here are a few of our favorite photos from our stay in Verona, Italy! You know you are in Italy when the grocery store has an amazing selection of fresh pasta.
The churches and cathedrals in Europe are just so amazing. One day, I stopped in to see Sant’Anastasia:
Our apartment had an espresso maker so we enjoyed our “tiny coffees” every morning:
One night, on our way to dinner, we decided fries would be a great appetizer. So we stopped at Queen’s Chips:
There was a Christmas market along the Adige River and in addition to the market, there was a large Christmas tree. Form a distance, it looked like a well lit tree decoration. But up close we realized – it was a ride! The bottom ornaments were bulbs you could climb into and ride around the base of the tree!
Then there was a much bigger Christmas market in the Piazza dei Signori. James liked posing with the decorations:
I saw people eating the polenta, mushroom and cheese bowl the first night we found the market. And a few days later I realized I wanted to try one before we left Verona!
James found a new mini-me friend at the market:
A selection of cookies and hot chocolate (more spoonable than drinkable!) for our dessert:
