We visited some small, remote towns in Wyoming this summer. And we noticed all of their little grocery stores always carried these containers of emergency food supplies. Towns like Thermopolis can get snowed in from both sides and if the roads coming in from both the north and south are closed due to bad weather, they aren’t getting any fresh truckloads of groceries! I was intrigued and kept checking out the different foods you can get as a powder. I am actually surprised I’ve never seen anything like this in Florida. I wonder if these powders wouldn’t do well in humid climates. It is so dry in Wyoming!
I think if we move back to Florida I will get some of these sealed bags of meals. They would be good to have for hurricane season.
