I had the little one and it made a perfect large cup of espresso. The problem? It was the traditional stovetop model. And one day I walked away from it while it was sitting and heating up on our gas stovetop in Georgetown. I must have been seriously distracted. Because a long while later I smelled something odd. Something burning. And then I remembered! But it was too late. The plastic handle had completely melted off and fallen into our gas burner. Luckily, I didn’t burn the house down!
While shopping in Florence, I spotted these De’Longhi electric Moka espresso makers! Now that is exactly what I need since there is no chance of me walking away and starting a fire. I’ll just end up with cold espresso.
