I always enjoy listening to my friends talk about their children. Today the talks were about amazing hotel beds in NYC this past long weekend and how the kids didn’t want to sleep in at all so mom and dad could enjoy the amazing bed. And they talked about deodorant and how one 7 year old is asking why mom wears it and why can’t she wear it, too. And they talked about a baby doll I hadn’t heard of – the La Newborn baby doll. It is a very realistic baby doll and apparently it is the hot toy for girls this year. The one mom said they got it for their daughter at FAO Schwarz this past weekend and as they walked through Penn Station to come home people were looking at her 8 year old daughter funny thinking it was a real baby doll (she was apparently holding it in a strange position). So I had to look it up.
They are right – the baby doll does look like a real newborn! I want to go to a toy store to see how they look in person.
