Okay so I am dating myself here! I happened to have an awesome 2nd car (my first car was a 1974 Dodge Dart) – a 1984 maroon Nissan 300ZX. I love cars – the shapes, the designs, hitting the gas and really kicking it when no one is around and their sound. Chris and I were talking about cars and the ones we love. It is funny that his first car was a yellow Scout and his current car is his FAVORITE car ever – a yellow FJ cruiser. If I can have him find a picture with his Scout I will post it.
Well I seem to have a current obsession with the little Nissan 370Z. So I was thinking how our first cars (or 2nd cars) have an impact on what we like later in life. My mom had a Blazer when I was getting my permit but I hated it – it was too big. I like driving little cars. I did rent a 370Z when I was out in California not long ago and I loved it. The only problem? My suitcase didn’t fit in the trunk! Good thing I was alone – it went in the passenger seat. It is definitely not a practical car. But if Chris has the big SUV I can have the little sports car, right?
And another thing to note about the 370Z – the sound! It has this incredible sound when one drives past you. My Infiniti FX has the same sound. It is like a purr!
Look at how young I am with my 1984 300ZX!
