I love reading books but I rarely make time for it. But whenever we go on vacation I am a book nut – I bring WAY too many and start racing through them.
My first read on our St. Augustine Beach vacation was Kelly Cutrone’s If You Have to Cry Go Outside. Chris and I had just seen the movie “The Reader” with Kate Winslet and I asked Chris if he wanted me to read it to him. He said yes – and I didn’t read the entire thing to him (I got excited and read some when he was doing other stuff – I read much faster when I am not reading out loud and I wanted to finish the book!) but I did read about 85% of it to him.
I first heard of Kelly Cutrone when watching The Hills on MTV. I was getting tired of the show and I moved away from it and over to The City when Whitney had her own MTV spinoff show. I always laughed at the crazy honest things Kelly would say so I started to follow her on Twitter. And that is how I heard about her book.
It was a really great read overall – I love autobiographies and that is really what this book was. It does have some insight to working in PR and fashion but I just enjoyed reading about her life.
