It’s hard to believe that in the middle of the summer when it’s pushing 90+ degrees and 90+ percent humidity that it could possibly happen, but when Sandra pulled the filter out of the A/C to clean it and I looked up into the air handler all I could see was a huge block of ice. I guess that explains the lack of air flowing through the system and the reason the rest of the house is 80 degrees or more.
The ironic thing here is that our ice machine is acting up, so I guess until we can get an A/C repair guy out to the house we can use the ice from the A/C.
You would think that with their being a large block of ice in the house it would be a little colder than it is. The whole thing is a little strange, but now that we know what’s going on I have the compressor off and the fan blowing so now my main problem is all of the melting ice.
If it’s not one thing it’s another I guess, so back to moping the floor and dreaming of our two days of winter that should arrive around January.
