Last night I went to the Bead Lounge with a couple of friends. I’ve seen these places, but I wasn’t really sure what they were all about. I haven’t been doing crafts since college and I wasn’t sure I would be any good at it. I was in Fred Segal last August and I noticed they had tons of beads, too. A bunch were already strung on fish line and I wanted them until I saw they were not finished. I didn’t even bother to ask since I knew I wasn’t crafty enough to finish the necklace. Well – if it was anything like the Bead Lounge – all you do is string the necklace (on wire, not on the fishing line you buy it on) and they finish it with the clasp you pick out. I wish I would have asked!
I found a few strands of beads I liked and one center stone and I went to work. I ended up making two necklaces! Check them out:
The cool thing is – I’ve been looking for a necklace with a red coral look to it as well as one with black and blue. I don’t have to look anymore!
