Chris and I haven’t had professional pictures since our wedding five years ago. So we decided that we needed to have some nice pictures taken. Setting the camera on a tripod doesn’t cut it when we have two dogs that need to be looking.
So I decided to contact a few photographers we know – ones that I know their work and I know they will do what we want. I asked them for a sitting fee and if they could include a CD since I can print and retouch my own stuff. No one responded! I guess they think I am going to ‘steal’ their secrets or something? I am not looking for secrets – I am looking for nice photos of us!
So I had one last resort – the mall! With no other choices I made an appointment. It was very interesting to shop – I got Chris a red polo and then I started looking for a green shirt. I was looking for a nice jewel tone green – not a summer green. Well – too bad! All I found was summer green as well as teal. Ugh! This is a lot harder than I thought! I finally found a hunter green sweater at Bloomingdales and it was on sale – bonus!
We got a few nice photos – they are not ideal but they will do. I can’t scan them – the whole copyright thing and all. But maybe I will take a picture of one in a frame later? Does that count?
The good news is we are seeing our friend Jason Davis in January – maybe he can find time to snap a few pics of us while he is here…we will see!
