Ken and Glenn were our table mates on the Radiance and they are experts on classic movies. So we planned to bring a pen and paper to dinner one night to get a few “must-see” movies. We were at the pool when Ken saw us and they had been writing up a HUGE list of movies! They even listed the main actor or actress in the movie! I was so impressed and excited to get home and start watching.
One of the first things I did when we got back to Orlando was check the TCM and AMC websites for schedules so we could record them as they came on tv.
Here is what we have watched so far:
–Mildred Pierce (Joan Crawford) – this was one of Ken and Glenn’s favorites and so far it is my favorite on the list
–African Queen (Katharine Hepburn)
–Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939) (Maureen O’hara) – I was so excited to see young Maureen O’hara in this one
And here is the list we will be watching in the future:
–Sunset Blvd. (Gloria Swanson)
–Sorry Wrong Number (Barbara Stanwyck)
–A Star is Born (Judy Garland)
–North by Northwest (Carey Grant)
–The Man Who Knew Too Much (Doris Day)
–A Place in the Sun (Liz Taylor)
