When we first drove over the mountain pass into western/coastal Oregon, I felt like we were in a Twilight movie. The Twilight series is based in Washington, but most of the filming was done in Oregon. And this mountain area felt just like the movie! I wish we would have stopped to take photos. But then a few days later, we stopped at Cape Lookout State Park and it had almost the same feel – except it was right on the ocean. The trees are SO tall.

There are a few hiking trails. One of the trails follows a bunch of switchbacks down to the ocean.

It is so lush and damp – there are ferns everywhere.

We went to the farmer’s market with our friends Brandy and Justin. Brandy was laughing at me for buying raspberries and blackberries. She said you don’t need to buy them – just pick them! And she is right – there are blackberry and raspberry bushes everywhere. But since I am a Florida girl at heart, I am afraid I am going to pick the poisonous berry dupe and get sick!
